Baked Macaroni & Cheese Recipe

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. Elbow Noodles5 tbsp. Butter
1.5 tbsp Minced Garlic
2.5 tbsp Flour
3.5 cups Half & Half
0.5 cup Heavy Cream
8 oz Colby Jack (divided)
12 oz Mild Cheddar (divided)
4 oz Sharp Cheddar
8 oz White Cheddar
6 oz Mozzarella
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/2 tsp Paprika
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Bake at 425°F for 15-20 minutes
Broil for 5 Minutes
DIRECTIONS
- Boil your elbow noodles following the instructions on the packaging.
- Preheat the oven to 425ºF and grease a 9x13 baking dish. Set aside
- Once your noodles are cooked, drain them and place in your baking dish and add 3 tbsp of butter and mix in until melted. Set aside
- In a saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tbsp of butter. Once melted add minced garlic and cook for 1 - 2 minutes or until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in the flour and whisk to create your roux. Cook for about 1 minute
- Slowly pour in the half and half while whisking constantly.
- Add in 1/2 cup of heavy cream and whisk. Stir until combined and smooth.
- Slowly add in the cheeses, one at a time. Whisk constantly and add small portions at a time.
- Once all the cheeses have melted add in the spices and stir. Add salt & pepper to taste.
- Pour the cheese sauce into your baking dish to mix and coat all the noodles in the cheese mixture.
- Once all the noodles have been mixed, add the remaining colby jack and mild cheddar cheeses on an even layer on top.
- Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Then broil for 5 minutes or until the top starts to develop a golden crust.
- Serve and enjoy!
